Different strengths, one shared purpose.
Each of us brings unique gifts to the garden, but we are united by the belief that kindness — no matter how small — can take root in every heart. Together, we nurture these seeds through our programmes, partnerships and community outreach, growing a kinder and more compassionate Singapore. ♥

Celina Loh
President, Sowing Kindness Society
♥
Celina's understanding of kindness comes not from books but from life. For over two decades she worked, kept home, and cared — for her grandma, her father who lived to 98, and her mother through sixteen years of Alzheimer's. Her two children grew up beside her through all of it, watching quietly, learning without being taught.
They have grown into kind, caring adults. That is the idea at the heart of Sowing Kindness Society — that kindness, when lived, is caught.
As the President of Sowing Kindness Society, Celina is looking to spread more kindness in communities through various activities and outreach, with the goal of fostering a more caring and loving Singapore.

Shaney Khoo
Treasurer, Sowing Kindness Society
♥
Shaney's understanding of kindness comes not from grand ideals, but from the small moments of ordinary life.
She comes from a modest family, works as a clerical professional, and serves as Treasurer of Sowing Kindness Society. Her grounded, everyday life has given her a deep appreciation for the most sincere kind of care — the kind that passes quietly between people.
In her family, she has always believed in the importance of presence and gratitude. One small wish she holds is that as her children grow up, she will have more time to be with her parents — to be filial, to repay them for years of care. She believes that kindness often starts at home, passing silently from one generation to the next.
Joining Sowing Kindness Society gives Shaney the chance to carry that belief into the wider community. She may be a quiet contributor behind the scenes, but she hopes that through her work, every act of kindness finds the support it needs — and that more warmth flows through the community.
She believes that kindness is not about how great it is — only whether you are willing to begin.
